About

Introduction

Hello Everyone,

My name is Jared Daniel Clark, and for better or for worse, through sickness and in health, I am now in the public education business!

Some may consider that to be ironic considering that I was home-schooled K-12 and didn't attend a public school of any kind until I began my general studies at Blue Mountain Community College. Admittedly, my experiences are limited, I do not know much outside of Pendleton, Oregon, the town in which I was raised. However, I believe that my background gives me a unique perspective that will serve me well as I attempt to give back to my local community by becoming an educator.

As of right now, I am a college student in his senior year of studies under Eastern Oregon University's Curriculum for Undergraduate Elementary School Teacher Education program. This blog is birthed from my work in a class from that program -- ED 496: Education Technologies, Fall 2015.

        Dreams

It is my dream and ambition to help guide students to discover their own successful and fulfilling lives. I want to show them that even though the world they live in may at times be hostile towards them, that they do not need to be afraid. Instead, I want them to know that this world, tainted though it may be, is still bursting with wonder and beauty and opportunity; it is meant to be enjoyed by all people regardless of who they are or where they come from. That is my wish for my students and anybody else I come into contact with.

For myself, I just want a simple life in the Oregon countryside with my family and friends.
